OBJECTIVE
My objective is to obtain a career in the area of cultural resource management.

SUMMARY
I have recently graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Public History. I have experience writing scholarly level material using a variety of primary and secondary sources.  I am a very organized and pay close attention to detail.  Over the past four years I have gained a wide range of experience in various areas of the public history field.  In addition to my research skills I also have a hospitality and business background providing me with strong skills in public relations, event promotions and budgeting.

My primary responsibility for this internship is to conduct research on furniture production in the northern North Carolina coastal plain using primary and secondary sources.
            -Aided educational programs aimed at teaching science to elementary age children.
-Assist in the setting up and design of exhibits.

My primary objective was to aide in the preservation process for the purposed historic district of Dryborough in New Bern, NC.
-Compared current building footprints from GIS maps to those shown on the Sandborn Fire Insurance maps.
-Assessed the integrity of individual buildings within the district.
-Collected documentation regarding the history of the area.

ECU Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences, Greenville, NC                   November 2012-March 2013
            Event Liaison
Served as a Liaison between Phi Alpha Theta and Tuscarora Nation for the Nooherooka 300th Anniversary, hosted by East Carolina University.
            - Responsible for recruiting volunteers to aid in various projects for the commemoration of the                                  Tuscarora War.
            - Aided in recruiting professors and other professionals to attend the events.

Conserved a mid eighteenth century hoe heads recovered from the British blockade runner Modern Greece.
            -Wrote conservation proposal and reports.
            -Used air picks to remove concretion off of the artifacts.
            -Mixed solutions to aid in the conservation of the artifacts.
